Set in the heart of Finistere

Local Area

Finistère is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas in France. Our campsite is situated in the heart of the department and is ideally situated to explore this fascinating region.

The campsite is just outside Chateaulin ( gateway to the Crozon peninsular). This pretty flower bedecked town situated on the river Aulne (which forms part of the Nantes/Brest Canal) is a renowned centre for salmon fishing.

You can walk or cycle along the canal into the centre of Chateaulin where there are bars, cafes restaurants and shops, 3 supermarkets and every Thursday a market along the banks of the river.

Brittany has more coastline than any other region in France and the coast round the Crozon peninsula is particularly beautiful and varied. If you are looking for beaches you will be spoilt for choice - from long sandy stretches to small rocky coves - and even in August they are rarely crowded. The nearest beach is only about 15 minutes' drive away.

Throughout the year there are pardons, firework displays, music fetes and Breton dancing. For information about what's on visit www.brittanytourism.com.
