Set in the heart of Finistere

Local Area

Our 3-star campsite is located in southern Brittany, a few minutes drive or a short cycle/walk along the canal to Châteaulin.

Thanks to its location in the heart of Finistère, La Pointe is ideally located to explore this region - one of the most beautiful and historic in France, and enjoy the regional 'parc naturel' of Armorique.

Châteaulin, at the gateway to the stunning peninsula of Crozon, is a pretty Breton town on the edge of the Aulne (the Nantes-Brest Canal), a river renowned for salmon fishing.

Access at the entrance of the campsite leads directly to the canal path, where you can go on foot or by bike to Châteaulin to enjoy its lively culture of shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly market. In summer, Châteaulin has an array of cultural events i.e. folk festivals, fetes and entertainment for you to enjoy.

Brittany has more coastline than any other region in France and the peninsula of Crozon is particularly beautiful and varied. If you're looking for beaches, you'll be spoiled for choice and even in August, these beautiful Breton sandy bays and small rocky coves are rarely busy. The nearest beach is just a 15-minute drive away from La Pointe Camping.

The region is famous for its churches, parishes, and bicycle races including the Tour De France. For more information visit
